Website/Software for band updates

I find it difficult to keep up to date with all the bands I like and it'll sometimes take me 3 months before I get word of a new album in the pipeline, or even released. Call it an extensive taste in music.

Im curious... so far I use Last.fm to get updates, but find it rather tedious getting updates one by one. Is there an RSS feed you can get, software program or site where you can add bands and get updates on them?

I'm primarily interested in the discography data and upcoming albums.

I think everyone struggles with this. I use http://www.idiomag.com/magazine/ a little, but it isn't perfect. It uses your Last.FM listening habits to give you news on the bands you like, it's a bit dodgy though.

The best I've used is this one though, it uses your Last.FM history to get an RSS feed of upcoming releases from various shopping sites. You can use it here

I'd be interested to see what everyone else uses though.

Quite a few bands are on facebook now so you can become a Fan and you receive updates but that'll be down to what you like

I just use twitter/facebook/myspace to keep track. Generally its Twitter for the bigger bands and myspace/facebook for the lesser bands
