Websites that can do 3d prints?

Hi,

Are there any recomendations for websites where I can upload a CAD file and get 6 x small 3D prints?

I'm wanting to make some .c 2 to 3mm deep discs with a recessed edge, and a through hole in the centre. These are to narrow some holes in a .c 1mm thick piece of metal (I have a car cleaning brush organiser I ordered online, but they've made every hole the same size so the ferrule of smaller brushes pass straight though).

Is there also any type of plastic/resin I need to order them in if the plan is to glue them to the metal?

Many thanks

Sounds like something any number of people on here would do if you have a design already made... I'll do it for cost of material and postage if you want to send the file over for a test run?

Edit: It's worth adding, I wouldn't think resin is the best choice here, it's brittle and not really designed for functional parts. I can do them in PLA, which I would expect would be fine, but if someone comes along with a better material then there are stronger options which may be better than PLA

Thank you both of you for offering, unfortunately I didn't see either of your messages before I placed an order with a website called 3D People. I had to pay a certain amount due to a minimum order value, but it was fun designing the part in FreeCAD (even if it was a simple part).

Knowing my luck, I'll have messed something up like a measurement. If the prints don't fit, I'll reach back out to you - happy obviously to cover materials, postage and beer tokens :)

Also happy to print for you if needed.

Messaged you both.

Any update on the result?

Sorry, I completely didn't see your message. The result from the 3D print people was amazing, the finish was really smooth which I wasn't expecting. I don't have a 3D printer, but I think a lot of the prints I see online are from hobbyist machines and you have like a banded print pattern? I assume these guys use a very expensive machine. I used PA12 Nylon with a as printed finish.

To be honest - they were only simple looking discs.

I do have a favour to ask someone, which is can someone do a print for me? I'm happy to cover cost of materials, postage and beer/coffee tokens obviously.

This one needs a test before printing multiple with the 3D people. I'm making some clips for my garage slat wall that will enable me to connect different things to them, rather than drilling things into the garage wall. So I need to test if it fits. I'm not sure how well these will work with only 1.4mm thickness (the thickness of the metal ones that came with the garage units), but I'm not connecting anything too heavy.

post the files and I'm sure one of us will take a look.
lots of the usual suspects do 3d prints to order, pcbway etc.
it really depends on what you're after.

Don't know if you're still looking for these but I tested one and seems to print fine. I'm in Milton Keynes so if you're close by you could come and take a look and I could probably print more depending on how many you need

Can comfortably put 12 on a plate at a time which takes about 3.5 hours to print

The way it's printed would mean it's pretty strong as all the force would be following the print lines

That's amazing, thank you!

I'm driving back from Bradford tomorrow, back down to Buckinghamshire. I could pop in, pick up and pay you for your time and materials?

For now it'll just be the one so I can test fit before making multiple. I made the CAD file based on measuring one of the metal brackets with some calipers.

That's fine with me. I don't want anything for that one so you can just have it and test and see if you need to make any adjustments. I'll send you my details in a PM
