Webuyanycar.com - Is this what they do...?

Webuyanycar is just furthering the sacrifice many make by choosing trade-in over private sale, namely sacrificing cash for convenience.

If they can make a business model of it, well, good for them.
Exactly, it's not difficult to see that some people weigh up the hassle of selling a car privatley or getting less cash with much less hassle. It doesn't make these people ignorant. After all who likes selling cars and having people show up to kick tyres and then not buy it because it isn't mint?

The point being they offer such derisory amounts that even if you put it up for sale for 500 quid more, it would still be so massively overpriced that its likely the first person to see it would rush round and buy it no questions ask no tyres kicked no haggling for a further discount.

Cheap cars attract the sort of moron who ends up on a TV show because they didnt realise that the 2009 Audi A4 S-Line they bought from a guy in a carpark for 30% less than it was worth was nicked, and neither did they even bother to check.

So you could quite easily sell it to this sort of halfwit with no hassle for more money.

We did it with the FTO - priced it up at 20% less than it was worth, a guy turned up, thought it was the most amazing thing ever and bought it without even a test drive.

I disagree. The one time somebody on here said they got a good deal it turned out a 'good deal' was infact about £1000 under book price - on a £4k car!

How can you say they are not in the same league as Carcraft when to my understanding they are the same organisation?

I was prepared to sell my 172 to them when I was emigrating as I needed a quick sale. They offered about £300 short of what I eventually sold it for privately, which I don't think was bad at all.

I don't think they compare to Carcraft in terms of value - I've yet to see an even semi reasonable deal for purchasing a car at Carcraft, yet I've seen a number of deals with webuyanycar which haven't been bad at all.

Hmm depends what they knock off when they turn up. I described my 2001 Xsara VTS honestly and they offered 950 quid, I only paid 1300 for it so if I needed it shot of quick and it didn't sell on an ebay 7 day auction I would probably use them.

tbh im probably gonna use them. They are offering me more and its gonna be easier for me personally

Part Ex - £1200
Webuyanycar.com - £1500
Private - Who knows? Probably wont get much more than £1500 anyways.

They say £1500, but when you go there with the car the sales man will be "ooohh, urrrmm, look at this scratch here, dent there, ooooooh, ahhhhhh" etc.

He'll then try to convince you that the car is worth scrap and give you £50 for it.

Webuyanycars, are a bunch of scammers
website offers one price, sales nob offers you less, as there is a spec of dirt on the number plate.
