Just valued my car on this for the LOLS and have found the valuation, with all bodywork damage listed, to be higher than what I paid for it.

Anyone used them before?

Worth a punt?

No, because once you get there they will proceed to absolutely shaft you over every minor point and drive the 'quote' down to the floor, leaving you out of pocket and rather disheartened :p

£2530 for my 328ci, that seems pretty reasonable to me. Obviously I could get more selling it private but that goes without saying.

A friend of mine was trying to get rid of his car quickly a year ago (a Mk4 Golf GT TDI 130 with 95k miles) and the quote came back much more than he expected, circa 5k IIRC.

He phoned them to get it sorted and they said it was a mistake and reissued the valuation at just over 3k, which was below trade price..

£65 with the following caveat:

* Valuation is subject to inspection and contract and incorporates a contribution from the road fund licence refund. An administration fee applies on purchase of the vehicle. Based on a purchase price of £65, a fee of £9.99 including VAT would apply.

So in fact my car is worth sweet poop, they just want a refund from the TAX...

when the gearbox went on my volvo and took it down there, it wasn't changing gear and had a huge light on the dash but they didn't seem to mind :D

I dealt with them a while back and actually found them alright. I had to sell my car quite urgently because of money problems and they gave me a decent price for the car and didnt knock me down at all when they came and saw it. This was even with a scuffed wheel that I hadn't even noticed until he point it out (was quite a big one but dirt hid it).

Think we companies like this is that they are never the best way to go, but its always there as a last alternative.

The company I work for sold a Seat Leon TD to them last year. They valued it at £3200 and eventually offered £2900 after the inspection. The car had a few dents and scratches so it was quite a fair price. I wouldn't use them as I didn't like the way they rush you through the process but if you're after a quick sale it's a pretty good system.

The advert makes me want to kill someone!

£7,255 , not tooo bad.
At carcraft i got:
Your part exchange valuation is: £7955.00

Wonder if thats close to true? i paid 8789 in Feburary! Thought it'd be much less by now in this climate.
