WEC 6 hours of Silverstone

Cracking pictures and video (shame the Fords sounded so bad at full chat, on the formation lap they were one of the best IMO)

I had no idea above the pits was general access, I had just imagined it was VIP only! Next time... :)
 
Yeah it was access all areas except the garages. You could go in to the wing where they had TVs showing the race, I didn't go in the media centre but plenty were in there too. The buses took you round to the back of the wing, then if you to the pit exit end you could go on to the balcony above the pits for about half the length of it. I was just lucky the Rebellion came in right under where I was standing :)

I might go to Blancpain in a few weeks too. Even cheaper than WEC, more cars on the track too.

Watched all the way through. I'm still not sure I can believe that the #2 Porsche got 2nd despite running nearly the whole race without the hybrid. I guess that sums up the LMP1 race sufficiently for those who didn't see it...

Big crash for the #66 Ford, but as is always the way, it looks worse than it really was, although I'd not want to be doing it!
 
I forgot about it and watched it from the second Toyota retirement. Some great action. I'm not too sure about the R18 overtake whilst grass cutting though.

Great too see that Mucke only had bruising from the accident, although I bet his pants faired less well! :D
