Wedding first dance songs...

hahaha, I was debaiting to put the Berlin one up :P but I deemed it too fast :D

it will be like trying to do the whiltz to painted on my heart, I just realised how funny that would be :D

I'll set the scene -

It's 1980, there are over 500 guests, me and my new wife are called up to dance to our wedding song which is Stairway To Heaven, we get ready and on comes D.I.S.C.O. by Ottawan.
I'm still after those responsible.

Uhh, trying to think of some, perhaps:

When a Man Loves a Woman by Percy Sledge?

Bit cheesy and cliche but it's a romantic song as far as I know, just throwing it out there :)

Went to a wedding the other week and they had Lonestar - I'm so in love with you (Sung live with just a guitar as backing). Was very touching :)

well it depends what you want. really but yeah be unique and different and get something else, I m still seraching youtube for some....i think I found one but its VERY slow

I do very much like that song. Most excellent.
I suppose the story behind it is nice as well.

My other half lived with someone I played badminton with (this person has now moved to London but is still a close friend). Before we were together, they had a dinner party, and I was invited (little did I know said friend was trying to set us up).

At some point in the evening, I was asked to put a CD on, and I chose Graceland, musing that it was one of my favourite albums. My girlfriend hadn't heard it before, but after that dinner party bought it and it's now her favourite album :).

Any kind of music genre you are looking at

Something kinda slow - similar to the first two I posted in the OP - I was more curious as to what people were after for their own, gives me a few other places to look for songs - we also need one for when my Fiance walks up the isle (we were thinking maybe Send me an Angel by the Scorpions) and one for when we walk back together.

ROTFL I love those - awesomeness

That's cool man, always good when you can share that stuff.
