I like this style, and it's the kinda thing I'm going to get married in this Summer.
Just wondering what others think.

I've pretty much decided on a blue blazer, probably with a gold tie to fit in with the wedding colour scheme. Shirt either formal or casual, not decided yet.

I'm not sure about trousers (or jeans) or shoes. Easy option would be black / black, but don't think this would complement the blazer. If I went for navy trousers, what colour shoes would I got for? Faded black jeans in the middle pic look good to me, but I'm worried about turning up looking like I've half-arsed it on the effort front.

I'm giving myself a budget of around £750 for jacket, shoes, shirt and tie. Would you go for a 100% wool blazer?

Any recommendations??

Firstly, I would say each to their own. It's your wedding you should do whatever you want (as long as you don't **** off your partner).

In my opinion though, that look would be very difficult to smarten up for a wedding. Faded jeans just don't seem to say "I've made an effort" no matter what you pair it with.

And your partner is okay with you wearing such casual clothes for your wedding?! :o

Yep. Thankfully she can think for herself and her motivation isn't to look as garish as most brides do.

I don't wear a morning suit ever. Why should I wear one on my Wedding day?

Why pretend to be someone else on one of the most important days of your life?

I didn't wear traditional, it was just a smart Tom ford suit, shirt and tie that all went together nicely, much nicer than that coat and tails BS

I know, we're just not having an identikit Wedding.

Fair enough... though I do think that trying to break the mould by simply replacing the suit trousers with a pair of jeans could well just end up looking like you couldn't be bothered. Is your wife to be going to wear a traditional white dress or an ordinary party dress she can use at other future occasions?

If I were you then I'd go along with something equivalent to whatever she's opting for... if she's going for a proper wedding dress then jeans and suit might well not look so good.

Oh, I can think for my self. I wore a black and purple wedding dress on my wedding day so I get the whole wanting to be your self and not conforming to the 'norms' but jeans and a jacket just seems a bit casual in my opinion.
I guess its your day and if you and your misses are both happy with your choice of outfit that's all that matters :)

Do it... looks comfier than wearing a fancy expensive suit too :p I would want to get married in more casual clothing..

you are going to have photos that you will want to keep all your life, I can't see how you will not regret this given time

You'll regret jeans.

We all had three piece suits with skinny ties and converse. Looked good and suited me much more than a morning suit. Even I would say jeans will look daft. It's literally the one day you'll want to look your best, not like you're going for a bit of a night out :p
