Bit of a moan.. just what is up with CityLink? :( They "misrouted" 2 of the 3 boxes I was expecting, got one Monday but was promised the other 2 today. Called up and they are in Maidstone they think. No guarantee that I'll get them tomorrow - the guy was a bit cagey about making any promises!!!

My girlfriend has taken 2 days off so far to stay in for me and sign so what I'm really getting at, is can I make any claim against them seeing as it's supposed to be a "Next Day Mon-Fri" delivery?

Sorry for the whinge, obviously not OcUK's fault but I'm dying from the pain of waiting... Having to use my Ultra10 for all my web browsing but obviously Solaris 10 doesn't play games :)

I used to have the same problems when OcUK used Amtrack, but never had any problems with Citylink

Have you tried phoning Citylinks head office, that may help

Has worked for me in the past ;)

Well I'll see if I get the delivery tomorrow.. but seeing as it has to go from one depot to another, then has to be loaded up and delivered to me I have my doubts. Just really annoyed at being promised the rest today and being let down.

As for head office - did you manage to get any partial refund on delivery costs? I think it's fair if they've breached the delivery "contract" :)

EDIT: Main number for head office.. "Press 3 for customer relations" 3 "ring ring....ring ring... beep beep [engaged tone]". Fantastic

I've been having the same problem with citylink for years, their now known as s**tylink. I told the lad at the local depo that I've actually collected more parcels from them that they'd managed to deliver, guess what he just stood there with a vacant look on his face, still I suppose minimum pay minimum effort :(

Never managed to get any sort of refund from Amtrack, but i've never had to phone Citylink, may be worth a try though

Nothing worse than paying for next day & the courier messes up

Had the 'pleasure' of dealing with City Link again today. No-one was in, so was expecting a card when I got home - nothing, checked their website and it says "There was no one to receive the goods at the delivery point so a card was left." Really? I can't see one, either they didn't leave one or I have a confused neighbour now.

I'm guessing that City Link are going to let me pickup without the card as long as I have a consignment number and some ID?

Where are you in kent? I usually get City Link deliveries from depot's further away from london in 12 hours. You can just go to the depot if you're not that far away and they're important.

I have had problems with CityLink not delivering on the right day.
Never really had problems with OCUK deliveries, but have had problems with another e-tailers deliveries, when ever this happens I call the e-tailer, inform them of the situation & they give me a refund on the next day delivery surcharge, as CityLink will refund them.

my city link guy - normally knocks once and then jumps in van before I can get out of bed - you gotta really be quick and run down in ya wabs ! or leave a note on the door to wait a couple of minutes - or leave a note saying `leave with neighbour` .....

City Link for me have always been spot on, very quick and no problems at all. I do hear a few people having problems with them though.

has happened to me MANY times mate :(
although today i was pleasently surprised :) card on porch floor, thought uh oh said package in garden under childs toy...result !
was not supposed to be delivered untill next monday, got the e-mail telling me it was to be delivered today
wish all citylink guys would do this

I've had my fair share of problems with CityLink too. They some how managed to lose one of the packages on my order. Upon ringing around, they actually admitted that they had no idea where it was. They said " It could have gone to the wrong depo, and could be found in about a month, or not, just wait and see!!". I was having none of that, and OcUK chased them up and claimed off of them. I got my stuff in the end, but its still annoying having to wait.

I think there should be a choice to have royal mail on large orders even if it does work out more expensive.

City Link tend to be fine round here, unfortunately most delivery companies in the same price range tend to vary - before OCUK went back to City Link they used Amtrak and people had the same complaints about Amtrak that they have about City Link (generally in different areas though).

It may be worth contacting the shop to ask them if they can chase it up etc.
