Anyone got a week 29 6600 on here if so how are they clocking? L629A531

XS seem to suggest that they are doing well but its always nice to get some feedback from our side of the pond.

I have one in my hands now but I not sure if I can be bothered to take my water block off again unless it would be really worth it. I can currently run 3.6 at 1.5volts and 3g's at 1.3 volts with nice tight timings at 420 on the memory. 3G and 1.3 volts is really nice. Would be nice to hit 4G's

There's a few differences with this 6600 compared with the last ones I have played with. I have noticed that the normal rounded heatspreader has been replaced with a 90 degree angled heat spreader. All the edges are sharp and these new chips actually look flat unlike the soft wounded spreader which were slightly concave. I know I read an article on XS about these but I just assumed they were some specials.

Still give it a good lapping up and ten polish it with tomato sauce then clean it again and then rub in some As5, wipe clane then refit it all.

Should go a bit more and about 6c cooler!

Why ketchup (and please don't say it's cos it goes well with chips)

Also, lapping is utterly pointless unless your trying to ring every single last mhz outta a cpu. Warranty is void, and if you've got crap core contact with the IHS then it doesnt help in the slighest

After lapping you wana clean it and get shot of the dust etc and i found the small vingar content to help, kitchen towle gives a nice polishing too it

Well with limited testing it's easily hitting 3.8 G's at 1.5 volts. That was first stab. Its looking like this is a 4G chip. I'm running out of time tonight so I dont have time to mess with the 1333 strap but the week 29's are looking very tasty :)
