I've got SO much holiday, I booked all of next week off, and half the week after purely for me to reset back to 0 and switch off.

I'm toying with the idea of camping for a couple of nights in North Wales. Shouldn't be too cold to camp and not cold enough for all the trails to be riddled with snow.

Any other suggestions? I want to get lost for a couple of days, read a book and sit around a fire. Hippy I know :D

Are you taking anyone with you as well for at least part of your trip? Sticking with Wales, could go to Snowdonia e.g. Cadair Idris. Could also check out the outdoor centre Arthog, but again might be enjoyed better in company.

Solo for a few days if I go camping, 100% solitude and just a couple of books and some walks.

Book into one of the campsites around Dolgellau, perhaps Tan y Fron if it still does camping. Gives you access to stuff like...
Precipice Walk
Cadair Idris (plus the lovely roads around its base that pass numerous lakes)
Fairbourne
Barmouth
Harlech

No idea on access rights around there, but would be an awesome area to explore on a XC/fat bike, if they allow it.

Head up onto the Carneddau, you can do a circular loop taking a few days and you'll probably not see another person!

Why do people keep knocking Rhyl?

Used to love going there when I was a child with my parents.

I remember going on a great train ride there, was magical at the time.

Has it changed much in 50 years?

Erm yes it has.

50 years of neglect, demolition, Workshy Criminals being moved in from all over the North West into empty Hotels and you can guess what it is like. The original locals have had to put up with a lot of crap.
