Following on from the “41 years old and no friends” thread i thought i’d ask the following.

What if anything do you do in the evenings after work? Occasionaly i will go for work drinks but evenings are mostly spent at home with my gf. We will have dinner then watch tv or i will go on the pc and play a game or something.

So what do you do?

Chill mostly. By the time I get in and cook, eat , clean etc I have a bout 2 1/2 hours before I go to bed. Depending on how taxing work was I'll either play games, watch tv or youtube. If I have more energy I'll do something more creative, like paint some miniatures.

Inb4 fap.

Same as most others TBH...eat dinner, walk dogs, watch a bit of TV with the GF, YouTube and browsing. Don't get time for much else, don't get in until just before 7 and like to be in bed by 10 so I can be up nice and early.

Home, change go for a 5k run 3 nights a week, back get showered kids to bed, eat dinner and watch America Pickers :)

With GF - Eat / tv / movies / beach walk
Squeeze in a bit of gaming if I can.

Currently we're spending time looking for another house and booking holidays - 3 planned in the next 7 months so far :)

Finish work at midday, so usually have a nap for an hour or two, then up and shopping, web browsing, cleaning the house, practising (learning a musical instrument) walking the dogs, cooking dinner, more web browsing. Very rarely these days, gaming.

Sit at my computer and try to avoid the stare from my bored dog.

I went swimming the past few weeks and as much as it's a right ball ache to motivate myself, once there it's great fun. I don't swim much, just bob around with my scuba mask and scare everyone.

As someone who can't currently work due to ill health they all blend into one, I actually miss that getting home from work and winding down feeling!

Usually go out a few times a week, pub quiz, student events and gatherings etc sometimes just dinner round a friend's. Other days are spent doing the usual, cooking, chores, watching a movie or football.

I rather like the relaxing evenings as they feel a bit more like a luxury than a norm. It's nice going out and doing stuff but when it's non stop you feel a bit rushed and I like to take the time out and do almost nothing every now and again.

I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the evening, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I listen to the endless screams of tormented souls (the kids) from the second I arrive in to the second they are consumed by the darkness. Then I try to follow them in to the short void in the hope that morning comes fast so I can get up, get out and hop on a number 59 bus to work.

Weekends are the same but without the bliss of work between the two nodes of hell.

Yep, I’m the same boat. It just feels like one long day. Although I’m a massive football fan and thanks to the wonders of modern tv, there’s usually some football on somewhere to help the evening hours pass a little faster.
