Weekend Football **SPOILERS** 14-16 March

I've got the worst hangover known to man :(

Samaritans keep hanging up on me :(

lol me too mate, one too many beers saw me trudging home fairly early on though with a chippy tea peace offering for the missus after being out since 12.30 with nothing to eat all day other than breakfast. I proceeded to fall asleep about 9pm and then woke up at 5am and have been up ever since lol.

Just been for a mcbreakfast and waiting for that to work its wonders :D

Oh man its like a mirror image of my day LoL :D

Except I'm more hardcore and was still going till 3AM !

I also couldn't get away with a chippy tea apology as we were going out for a meal to celebrate my GF's birthday !

She told all my mates to ignore the miserable ****ed up bloke in the corner as he was highly volatile :D

Still in the bad books today :p

Just watched the game in full this morning, think we made a little hard work of the first half but the scoreline was a pretty good indication of how the second half went. All over them when coming forward and a lovely second for Arshavin. God knows how Bendtner missed that glut of chances, he really was woeful in front of goal (did i really see DM saying he had a good game????). Nice seeing Eboue on the scoresheet again, if he can add that final touch a bit more then hes a useful option to bring off the bench. Thought Song played pretty well even though he appears to have got a slating again from certain people, he was harrying all across the midfield then breaking well when we had possession, he seems to have developed a bit of composure on the ball too.

Watching Goals on Sunday, how on earth did El-Hadji Diouf stay on the pitch after that tackle ? :|

I lol'd at Pedersen dive. Brilliant ! give the man an Oscar! :D

Just got around to watching MOTD, Pedersons dive was just laughable. And this is the guy that says he doesn't dive when he cut across Rafael in the United game.

did he get booked for it , as i did'nt notice a booking , the ref should have booked him if he could see it was a dive. Pederson then had the cheek to hold his arms in the air with amazement that he did'nt get the pen.

ugh. sorrows well and truly drowned. still can't bring myself to watch a replay of that match though. Going to relax to a bit of villa spurs this afternoon.

watched that match , to be honest man u did'nt turn up they looked tired , dont forget although liverpool and man u both had games in mid-week , man u was a day later and proberly the tougher test as madrid were walkovers for liverpool they did'nt even need to get out of first gear

That had nothing to do with it. All the warning signs were there against Inter- 4-5 defensive mistakes which they didn't get punished for it. It's a wake up call, and just be thankful that it happened in the league and not in the 2nd leg of the CL!

A great performance for such a negative team.
I think the scoreline flattered us.
This team has such a long way to go. Why do Liverpool only play well when the seasons over?
Some disturbing things to note:
Carragher, Torres and Gerrard are the only ones with quality and a desire to walk through anyone to win the game, the rest of the team are a long way off or just sub standard.
Rafa still refuses to go for the kill and can not play attacking football, hell didn't anyone else notice Reina time-wasting when only 2-1 up as early as 60 minutes into the game, this was shocking and embarrasing. This just about sums up Liverpools season and many more to follow with the fatman in charge.
Kuyt ? Just the fact that this player plays every game and has precedence over everybody else just makes my blood boil.
This was just another defensive performance where the other team had a man sent off and our chance breaks came off, great for cup football but not for a league title.
Incidentally I bumped into my mate walking down the road last night looking in a bad way, he just got back from oldtraffy and he thinks that we may catch up and he had a doubt about walking away with the Title. I found this quite surprising but unfortunatley I think he has nothing to worry about.
Lets just not lose to them in the CL because I can bet you the "draw" will have us against the mancs.

I could swear he wasn't the last man when the foul was committed.

Admittedly i'm going from MOTD but it certainly looks like Gerrard wouldn't have been "clean" through.

Being the last man is just a rough guide. The rule is denying a goalscoring opportunity which Vidic did. The nearest Utd defender was Ferdinand and he was over the other side of the 18 yard box, there's no way he'd have stopped Gerrard having a 1 on 1 attempt at goal.

Even though we got done good and proper yesterday, it was good to see a ref get pretty much all the big decision yesterday.
