Another Newcastle game on TV. I worked it out the other day and by the end of 2009 we will have played 42 league games and 21 of those will have been shown live on TV. Crazy!

I had a massive ***** about the coverage of Newcastle games on TV this season with my Unlce who's a Newcastle fan.

I just think it's nuts, it's like the lower league's don't exist until a "big" team drops down.

The BBC and Sky were always going to show more games this year anyway. It's just unfortunate to most other clubs that Newcastle got relegated this year. It's nice for me because I can't get to many away games :D but I do feel sorry for other team, it is a bit unfair.

I completely agree, If I supported Newcastle I'd be pleased that almost all of the games the BBC are showing are Newcastle and a good majority of the games Sky are showing include my club.

I don't support Newcastle, So I think it's ******* unfair and pathetic! :p

Which big team are you talking about though? :p

I think footie 365 has it right, the big game this weekend is Liverpool vs City. Utd vs Chelsea is almost irrelevant, utd lost most of the top 4 games last year, they still won. Ok Chelsea look stronger this year, but a loss for either means nothing at this stage.

Liverpool however will be a game closer to Benitez being fired if they lose, which could signal the end of Torres(cashing in for funds for new manager, which frankly is the right call 4-5 10-20mil players will do far more for the team than Torres). Likewise, City have drawn 5 on the trot, are still well in with a shout at getting past Liverpool to the top 4 this year, a win would continue a good run of not losing, get some more points, show they can beat a big team and away. While 5 draws and a loss will only increase speculation that Hughes isn't good enough.

Both games have the potential to be great, though I think City and Liverpool are more desparate for a win at the moment so will be a more frantic, insane game.

Given Voronin, Babel and Degen are likely to be sold in January to balance the books (Benitez won't see a penny), what makes you think the owners wouldn't pocket all the money if they sold Torres? Not like they've done any different so far.

Everything was looking great like 2 weeks ago, it all changes so fast

Weren't most of these players out two weeks ago, Gibbs is only missing one game, RVP is the only major injury, we've got quite a lot of cover, as with Liverpool, infact less badly than Liverpool its mostly backup players injured at the moment, the majority of the first team squad, as Wenger see's it, is fit. With quite possible Denilson back also, though at this stage I don't know if Wenger see's Denilson or Diaby as first choice to start.

If we can't cope in attack without RVP, then we would have still lost games when he was rested, its not an excuse. Still waiting to see how the league shapes up as we play more top half teams and more difficult games.

So if Liverpool lose Benitez and Torres are on the way out? Jesus you come up with some good bedtime stories these days dm!

Could you quote where I said a liverpool loss equals Benitez and Torres are on their way out, if its not too much trouble?

Infact, the closest anyone in this thread has come to saying that is

if Liverpool lose Benitez and Torres are on the way out

Oh look, I can choose to selectively ignore words that change the meaning of a sentence aswell.
