Lampard should definitely start for chelsea as he'd get into my world xi definitely. (kidding)

I hope ferguson gets the balance right with this game, boro always seem to put in a shift against us and while on form we should beat them he's going to be thinking about tuesday night.

I hope we keep our form up!

Only problem at the moment seems to be actually putting the ball in the net, maybe Fergie should consider letting Park put in a shift on the wing and let Rooney play up top.

wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney on the bench tbh. think Park will get a start, he was very poor the last couple of games he played but hopefully he's over that blip.

Middlesboring tend to play well against the "big" sides.
Manchester United drew with them last season ?

Rooney needs to start playing up front, ie being a striker. not left wing.
Nani can play left wiiiing :)
Berbatov to start ?

Really wanting to know about ups and downs in the Championship :D

Quite possibly but I feel sorry for him.

SAF seems to have decided that Rooney is valid cover on the left wing. Whilst i'm sure he's happy to fulfill that role he's more dangerous when given a licence to roam, like Ronaldo does.

If only Nani could be trusted to track back and not do stupid things like lose his temper and foul, he'd be a regular on the left wing.

Actually yeah, you're right about Nani, I do like him but you have a point.

Don't know if Rooney will start, if he does I don't want him on the left :(

Me, talking sense? Doubt it. :p

Nani also tends to ball-hog a lot. Pity as he's a quick little runner, and very talented. Just too young to fill that space full time IMO. Give it a season or two.

I REALLY want to see Tosic :(

I know he won't get a game unless the pressure is off this season.

I really really want to see him :(

Will be at the bridge tomorrow, hopefully Chelsea don't field a full strength team, we're without Johnson, Davies and Barnes to replace Davies :(.

Be a great result if we get a draw or a win vs them, takes us a step closer to getting 6th (as we play Everton and Villa).

In a warm-up to Sunday's game, Liverpool reserves beat Newcastle's reserves 5-1. With Gerrard and Torres back together on Sunday it could be the same again :)

Should be a fairly comfortable game; Newcastle offer nothing going forward and can't defend but we can't take anything for granted.

You've had a good season but now you're being unrealistic if you think you're going to get 6th.

7th is almost certainly a Europa spot too now isn't it? As Everton seem likely to finish top 6, so even if they win the FA Cup, the place will get passed on to the league.

Also, this weekend is all about the lower leagues. Arsenal will almost certainly not bother to turn up for the Portsmouth game, so I'm gonna have my fun seeing if S****horpe, Shrewsbury, et al get promoted/relegated/whatever.

It's pretty certain.

Everton have Sunderland (A), Spurs (H), West Ham (H), and Fulham (A) and I can't see them failing to score less than 4 points there.

We've got Hull (H - Win), Fulham (A - Lose), Boro (A - Draw), and Newcastle (H - Win). I'm hoping for 7 points from those.

Everton may well leave out quite a few players with the Cup final in mind, after what happened to Jagielka, and they've not got a big squad to bring in decent replacements.

If Fulham were to beat Everton then they'd only need to close the gap a further 3 points to take 6th.

edit: more like an extra 4 points because of GD.

True, but there's only 3 other games, and Fulham would probably have to win at least 2 of those.

On another note - Burton Albion are 7/1 to get relegated next season.. Er, they were crap after Clough left. That's a cracking price.

Didn't say we'd finish there. But we are playing both Everton and Aston Villa at home. I'd rather us not finish in a European Spot, as we don't have enough good players to compete, so would have to sign a load of new players, and bolster the squad either way. Would be nice to play a few european teams though!

Edit: our next few games aren't THAT bad (except tomorrow :p)

Chelsea - Away
Aston Villa - Home
Newcastle - Away
Everton - Home

You have the best chance of finishing 7th - I don't see why it'd be a bad thing for you really. Hodgson has done a cracking job wherever you finish :)

You'd get a nice bit of TV revenue as well!

Yeah, no doubt. We have a small squad, so definitely need to buy more, and i'd say a few of the squad aren't the quality we need (most on loan). So might have to sell to buy a few. I'd say we'll get about £10-15m to spend, and whatever we sell.

It'd be lovely to play a few european teams, but we've been VERY fortunate with injuries this season, our biggest injuries are only happening now (Johnson, Davies), so that's been on our side too.

Would be nice to see how close 6th can come, though :)
