Weekend Footy 29th-1st November/December *Spoilers*

Yeah, he's one of those strikers that you know will score loads in a season (kinda like van Nistelrooy, Shearer, pre-Real Owen) even if the team is performing badly. Weren't some Man U fans on here saying they didn't want him in their team? lol

In Premier League news, I hope Sunderland don't sack Roy Keane. He's doing a great job taking them back down again.

You said only last week that Boro can't beat crap teams (as in Bolton) so surely your an equally crap team?

I thought you meant Boro should beat Newcastle the same way Chelsea fans were disappointed last week.

I think both teams were as bad as each other today, and outside of the top 5 everyone is pretty rubbish and can beat anyone else.

Best player in the world at the moment imo. The amount of goals he's scoring is similar to Ronaldo last season but he's also getting a lot of assists which Ronaldo didn't.

The stuff Messi was coming up with at the start of last season was on another level to anybody around in the last 5-6 years; wonder goal after wonder goal. What seperated Ronaldo last season was his consistency which Messi didn't have (mainly down to injuries) but at his best he's miles ahead of anybody atm.

Yeah, I came in this thread to just comment on Messi. He's unreal. You can forget C.Ronaldo and Kaka, Messi is the best player in the world. Everytime he gets on the ball something happens. Disgusting amount of talent.

Could very well become the best player ever.

hmmm, 0-0 against the smogs, we need 3 points!

That said, 2 back to back clean sheets against Chelsea away and a derby(Smogs) is not that bad, Bassong is supposedly playing great recently, should leave taylor on the bench

of course your going to keep a clean sheet when you play a 1-10-0 formation :D

Messi is unbelievable, he makes Barca. As many amazing players as they have, Barca are suprisingly poor without him.

His goals tonight:

People are hyping up Barca now but they're not unbeatable. I'd certainly fancy Liverpool's chances against them. The true test will be when they come up against a big, tactically astute side in the last 16 of the Champions League, then we'll see what they're really made of.

Very, very bad fog this morning in Manchester. Much worse than yesterday.

I can usually see City's stadium from my window. No chance today. At the moment visibility is so bad, you're unlikely to be able to see goal to goal.

It has to improve although it lingered about all day yesterday.

I hope i'm wrong . :(

Messi was class yesterday. The ball is glued to his feet. Everytime he gets the ball you expect him to drive past 2-3 players and more often than not he delivers. He was floating around the middle of the park behind eto yesterday and picking the ball up just outside the area. More threatening and dangerous than recieving it from the wing.

Madrid don't look like winning it this season and got smashed by Getafe earlier in the day. Villarreal and Valencia are looking good but have dropped stupid points but I still see them as the title challengers.

Got good vibes today no idea why but our nemisis Drogba isn't playing and neither is Senderos so i'm remotely positive - that and the fact that we seem to be able to 'play' in the big games!
