Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

Translates quite well mate. You will soon get used to it. I've completed the first, On with the second atm.

Cheers mate. Do you have to whizz the cursor over clues in this game and have to be accurate? or do you sort of press right right right and it'll aim in on a clue? I hope that makes sense I'm trying to figure out how one would find a clue by traditionally hovering over most of the screen with a mouse!?

I am sorely tempted at this offer price for what could be lounge gaming history for me and my wife. One of my favourite game series' of all time.

I do get what you mean, You move the cursor with the analogue to search for clues, You don't really need to be deadly accurate. It just seems to work lol.
Of course it isn't as fast as a mouse.. but then it's not really that type of game.

You can instantly swap to old skool graphics at any time by pressing select.

Tbh at the price it's up for now I can't recommend it enough.. I paid full price for both!

Any more questions just ask :)

Bumping this as some people might like to know that Savage Moon and its expansion are both half price this week. Perfect timing for me as I downloaded the demo a few days ago and decided to wait til it was on offer before buying :D

What is the best TD game on PS3? Tempted by Comet Crash - already have Pixeljunk Monsters (unplayed though)...

ps3ud0

Been waiting for a while for the SSFIV Costume Pack to go on offer, even if it is still a waste of money for a measely 100KB code for something already on the disc. Going to be another long wait for the new DLC costumes coming soon and they'll probably end up double packing this.

Will also give the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow demo a try to see how well this game looks and plays. Good thing the story in this is seperate from the main story canon of the 2D games, but luckily being able to branch out on it's own thing.

He seems to bash it simply because of the original game though? It's quite clear that it would be poor by today's standards, but that's not what I was asking. :)

Poor review tbh. I'm aware that it's a game getting on for twelve years old.
Kinda agree, on the other hand twelve years ago it was cutting edge but as I have found games that you loved long ago now feel crap as I am used to todays games.

Why not buy the game, try it and if you do not like it sell it, that way you will not lose a lot of money.
Or see if someone else is already selling 2nd hand.

I have noticed that in at least the last 6-9 months the quality and number of free demos available on PSN has deteriorated considerably. It started before PSN Plus was launched but around the time it was first mentioned.

It doesn't surprise me but its still nonetheless disappointing to see cynical methods to persuade users to sign up to PSN Plus to get anything half decent.
