if its a 10 day turnaround i wanna know why im paying 5 quid a month for continous play who claim they will replace the console next working day.

Because they can? Its all dependent on stock and something like a 60Gb usually has to be sent back to be repaired/replaced due to being discontinued so long ago and not having hardware similar to the other SKUs, while the newer SKUs can usually be replaced on the spot...

In 10 minutes time, it would not be a bad idea.

Historically, from experience, details of the update will appear on http://blog.us.playstation.com at the same time or a minute or 2 after/before the update. You can F5 that.

BTW Naughty Dog are giving away 50 beta codes for Uncharted 2 Beta if you twitter them (see USA blog).

The stores are run regionally so they all have their own content approval processes and release schedules. As its a Konami game it's up to them to submit the game to all the territories in which they want the game released, so if they've not submitted it to the EU that's why it's not coming out today.

Just get the version off the US store if you can.. it's arguably superior than the PAL version because of the speed increase.
