Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

I think this is what you're talking about....

http://www.battlefieldheroes.com/frontpage/landingPage ?

Yes that is the one!!! Looks like that game is available already although on PC/web browser?

I will get the 1943 thing today anyway as the demo thing is free. Will only buy it if many people on PS3 get it from here. Not played a BF game since 1942 on PC, but that cartoony heroes one looks good

£10 seems pretty pricey for a multiplayer-only game with only 4 maps though... no doubt they will try and extort more money from us with "expansion packs".

I think I'll wait for a price drop to buy it (and then only if it's really popular)... I have far too many other games waiting to be played right now! :D

£10 seems perfectly fine. They really couldn't drop it any lower.

I'm pretty sure that Battlefield 2 only had 6 or 7 at release, and that was £35+, and multiplayer only.

Can't remember how much Warhawk was but it was more than a tenner and brilliant fun when it came out.

Not really - the "couldn't" there should be a "wouldn't".

Take Wipeout HD for example - for just £2 more (£12 at release), you got a pretty extensive SP campaign, loads of tracks, online and local MP, extra modes like time trial and zone mode etc etc.

That was a well-priced game. BF1943 has an over-inflated price using it's Battlefield "pedigree" and bucketloads of hype to justify it. Sure I'll give the demo a go, but I certainly won't be paying a tenner for it as it stands... :o

Well if we all buy it we'll get the 33 million global kills required to unlock the other maps!
