Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

To be honest i only want one update before anything and that would be cross game chat .
Everything else in my mind can wait especially the clock that everyone seems to bothered about , really how important is it :D

ok i take your word on it , but all joking aside there are more important parts to improve on psn like maybe a chat lobby that does,nt make you leave when you enter the game or browse the net .
Saying that if they cannot put the clock in right place dont hold much hope for what i would like :(

Yeah them few seconds the battery indicator blocks the clock is a HUGE issue :D

It's more a case of they acknowledged it was a **** up as soon as it was released and said it would be fixed in the next update. If they forget things like this, what else do they forget? I care very little about the cross game chat tbh and I am 99.999999% certain you will not get that next week anyway.

Cross game invites are not possible (across the board), cross game chat is unlikely, anything other rumours of what 3.0 will bring? Screenshot functions? Play music in games function? Would rather they fix simple things then add behind the scenes features that no developers ever use.

I dont hold much hope for both though to be honest , but a lot of my friends who have 360,s say to me why have,nt that got cross game chat not why have,nt they fixed the clock .
They should have fixed the clock a long time ago , but player chat lobby in my mind would help sell a lot more console,s in my opinion .
I will hold on to that .000001 % but i know sony and they will more than likely bring us something with no use :(
I still love my ps3 and play it a lot more than my 360 mostly due to the noise , sounds more like a cement mixer everyday :D

I'm a bit confused by this whole cross game chat deal... can't you do that already by just making a chat lobby and inviting people in there? It works when I'm playing WipEout with the dudes...

The clock thing is annoying, if I just want to quickly check the time and don't have a) my phone/watch nearby) and b) the kitchen door open wide enough to see the clock on the oven, it's an annoyance having to wait a few seconds for the battery icon to disappear when I'm in the middle of a game.. Why not just make the battery icon permanent and put it next to or below the clock?

Voice chat, I think you are describing the text chat room (or some specific Wipeout lobby function?).

We want voice chat mate, on the 360 you can just chat to people who are playing a completely different game, it's a nice touch. Personally i think private chat lobbies across all games are far more important, the ability to mute everyone but your friends and move from game to game together in a party is great and the one thing i feel the PSN really lacks in comparison to live.

trust me ,voice chat is the one thing that is holding the ps3 back.

the only game i play on 360 is cod4 and thats due to party chat .
the day ps3 gets party chat is the day i sell my 360..

rant over

To be honest I think that Sony not adding a cheap headset into the box with each PS3 was a real error on their part; it's still the case that most PS3 owners don't have headsets, and this makes a lot of online games, particularly community based ones like Fat Princess, feel really hollow.
