i'm looking for a weight bench to use with dumbells, ideally one that will allow incline and decline and be good for at least 200kg inc bodyweight

i don't really want to spend much more than £100 and i've managed to find a Bodymax CF328 for £104 delivered...does anyone have any experience with this and is it value for money? - or alternatively is there a better bench out there at a similar price?

cheers

that's the bench i've been looking at, though the squat rack is unnecessary as i don't have an olympic bar and weights to use with it - just a set of bowflex dumbells which i'm confident i can get a good whole body workout with...but thanks for the suggestion

I bought this one cheaply as I don't do a huge amount of dumbell work and already have a good flat bench so didn't want to spend another £100+ as this home gym lark is steadilly getting out of hand! Has a 200kg limit and I was seriously impressed by the build quality given the price. Not the usual York crap and flimsy materials, it has some nice thick padding and solid construction. Not sure if Amazon is a competitor or not so wont link, but can be had from them for £59 with free delivery. Same limit as the BM one and half the price. This or the Bodymax are probably bad choices if using them with a barbell though as the weight limit will end up being reached quite quickly. Would be worth spending extra and getting something more beefy in that case to save yourself buying again a little later down the road.

thanks for that - i'd also seen this one though it's currently out of stock where you suggested. the only thing that made me look elsewhere was it doesn't decline - now whether that's a function worth paying an extra £50 for i'll have to have a think about it

cheers

Although it doesn't officially decline, it actually does. Just don't put the pin in the bottom slot and it's a perfectly usable decline bench. I've put a rubber pad where the bar rests to stop any scratching. Obviously there's no leg hooks, so how useful the decline is will depend on what your doing; ie it isn't great for decline crunches, but fine for decline press.

that's handy to know - much appreciated, especially as i've spotted it elsewhere in stock for the same price - that's an extra £40 to spend on beer...err i mean a proper nutricious diet

cheers
