Weight loss

Exercise actually has very little to do with weight loss unless you do in insane amount.
Eating is the main thing to change.
I guess I would ask what 'insane' is? I cycled 50 mins to an hour, 5 or 6 days a week as well as lowering my calories in and the weight dropped off, but more importantly, I got a lot fitter.

I'm 6 3 and currently about 13 and a half stone. I've always been a skel, and weighed just under 13 stone going into covid and was happy with that. I am not taking the mick here- we all have our own target.

I went up to nearly 15 stone during covid and the switch to working from home, and didn't like that at all- it was a lack of enforced exercise.

One other thing that I think makes a difference (from my experience) is eating and beer in the evenings. I stopped eating giant bags of kettle crisps every night and cut beer to two or three nights a week.

You don't have to live like a monk, but be consistent and honest over time. That's what I found.
I know what you mean, Friday comes, sometimes even Thursday because its almost the weekend and I crack open a beer then some kettle crisps, tortilla chips or pringles. I was always drink on a Fri and Sat night but now its creeped into Thurs and Sun, then I usually wake up Monday morning feeling like toilet.

I'm going to try and get back to just Fri and Sat. I know they say binge drinking is bad but I don't think drinking 4 days on the trot is that great either.

I was always 80-85kg, but promotion at work which meant sitting down instead of standing all day, and being lazy to cook so eating a bad diet, I'm 105kg now.. and actually feel really fat.

Definitely need to sort out diet and start exercising.... as soon as I'm back from holiday in about 3 weeks. Until then, will carry on eating whatever I want I guess :p.

Heh, exactly the same as me!

You can substitute for the beer- that's what I did.

I tried a few things. Water was just unsatisfying. I then tried soft drinks. I've ended up on the no sugar, no caffeine* coke. That worked well for me and is also cheaper. Give that a go.

*drinking caffeine coke before bed time is a bad idea!
