As titled, really.

More specifically, does anybody know about Nike Romaleos and their sizing? I can't find a physical shop that actually sells them and so am going to have to go online (which involves returns if the sizes aren't correct).

Are Nike lifting shoes smaller/larger than the average trainer? Does the same apply to Adidas?

Thanks for any help!

Vibram FiveFingers, you can get socks shaped in the same way for these shoes as well, but some opt for no socks which is fine.

He means heeled Oly style shoes. If thinking about vibrams etc. you might as well just go barefoot, a lot cheaper!

Yup, Chris has the right of it. Thanks for the thought, however, 'Wes. :)

I already lift in socks/barefoot, but am going to have to get something with more tack for jerking (yeah, thasrite - I said it), and a heel for the additional stability.

What is it with this place and vibrams!? A guy asks about real lifting shoes and the first response is about vibram five-****ing-fingers! :p

I don't really know about the Nike ones, but they are expensive. Adidas have a reputation for being slightly narrow. I have Do-Wins, which have a reputation for being slightly wider.

There is at least one blog out there that has a WLing shoe comparison with regards to sizing and heel height etc. Here's something that looks useful: http://wlshoes.com/

And just in case you're still in doubt about making the purchase, rest assured, they are definitely worth it, for several reasons.

Yes, I'm sure I'd like them; particularly as Oly lifting is where I want to be going at the moment and foreseeable future.

I've heard the Adidas ones are slightly narrower, but there is literally nowhere to try these sorts of shoes on in Cambs = suck.

I think Pullums has a bricks and mortar shop you might be able to go into to try before you buy. Probably wouldn't buy from there as they're expensive.

Luton doesn't seem too far from Cambridge... make the trip if you're worried. These shoes are a bit of an investment, so probably worth the effort.

Hmmmm... Luton seems a bit of a distance. But if it's the only way, then...?

I don't know if I'm worried enough about it just yet. Going to see what I can find in the US initially...

I get a limo to the airport and the flight for free.

So whilst I have to fly economy to the US, I don't have to drive to Luton. And then park. :D

But you're right in the amusingness of that statement.
