Do you mean part of the screen briefly turns white and then disappears as if you never saw it happen, like a blink of an eye moment?

I've just had a look at the same spot and I don't get those anomalies you are describing with any sort of AA (10.4a drivers). I have a 5970 and 5870 if that's any help.

no its when i reach the small bridge and stop and move around if you look carefully you can see little white square flicker in and out on the ground and under the bridge....

its not heat related as my GPU and VDDC's stay under 84oc

That's a bit toasty, is the card overclocked? If so, it might not be quite stable. Have you tried running furmark? That usually shows up stability issues pretty quickly if you do have any.

With my 5870, both at stock and OC'd I sometimes get little white dots flickering on my screen. This only ever happens in indoor areas such as inside tunnels or under the concrete bridges in BC2. I have rigorously tested my card in all other games and I never get this (Furmark/Crysis etc).
Only tested on 4x AA, I will have a look on different settings. The cards max temperatures don't exceed 67c here.

99% of the time the effect is barely noticable.
I believe it is probably just a driver or compatability issue, maybe Catalyst A.I or something similar.

Also running 10.4a. You could try disabling crossfire by turning of Catalyst A.I to check if it still happens. Im still looking into it myself but its barely noticable for me.

The location of these little dots suggest that they are linked to the shadow effects imo.

Sucks man, Spending that dosh on a card and getting problems like that.

I get issues with Bad Company 2 aswell though so dont worry about it, will probably be fixed in a driver update at some point. I get microstuttering on Bad Company 2 only every other game runs smooth with no issues.

Bad Company 2 is still a new game. It will take a bit of time for either ATI or EA to release a patch or update that will fix these graphical errors. Quite a few people are getting problems with this game atm.

It's a driver issue.

On my 4870x2, I get squares at anything >4xAA with Edge detection. At 2xAA, it's fine. Funnily, my performance is just grand with 8xAA Edge, I just can't see a thing due to bloody squares!

Hopefully it'll all be fixed in the 10.5s :)

You could pretty much say it's still early days in regards to drivers, so i'd hold on till the next driver before doing an RMA.

Just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons, I get that occasionally with my GTX 260...

The game does seem buggy as hell (I can't run it in anything other than DX9 before getting the white screen of death), frequent connection losses (whereas BF2 is rock solid).

To be fair, it is improving. Slowly.

I am running a 5770 which is obviously measly in comparison, but I get the square problem if I add any AA. Running with no AA = no white squares.

It's a driver issue, currently running 10.4's.

Quite a buggy game in many ways, BF2 was exactly the same on release. Look at the lower right hand corner of the screen and there is a little white pixel (at first i though it was a stuck pixel). This appears on every computer I have seen/played the game on.

ive also noticed VSYNC don’t work either the game isn’t locked at 60fps even if VSYNC is set to ON in the menu... only way I figured out to activate VSYNC is to load a saved game then go to menu change the resolution to anything then change it back and resume game this activates the VSYNC....
