Weird Boot issue

Hi,
Had the following for just over a year:
e6600
p5wdh
2 gb xms2 6400c4
x1900xt

Recently, when turning on all fans immediatly spin up at full speed but never throttle down like normal and doesnt post, not even a beep from the bios.

Been off work this week so stripped it down and managed to work out that it posts with either stick of ram in but not both? I'm thinking it must be the motherboard on its way? any other ideas?

ps, it was overclocked, i've backed this off tho and it didn't make a difference.

either that or it's the memory controller on the CPU.. had the same thing happen to mine last week. Do both sticks work in the same bank or channel?

I've tried most combinations, i can only get it to post in a single stick combination though., The only one i didnt try was both sticks in different channels as you've said, will try that now
