PC won't boot from sata dvd because the keyboard is un-responsive
i have done research and it seems to be a problem a few others have come across but they seem to of resolved it through faulty hardware or be resetting cmos, neither of these seem to be the case
my hardware and os are the same as when i built the pc and i had no problems then.
motherboard - ip35 pro
keyboard - saitek eclipse
hd - 160gb wd
- i can get into bios settings by hitting del on boot up
- boot priority is set to be dvd as the first and hd second, also tried with just dvd
- os cd works fine while windows is booted
- keyboard works fine in windows
- tried different usb keyboards, no change
- tried usb keyboard with usb - ps2 convertor, no change
- reset cmos, no change
- unplugged sata hd and pc boots straight off the os cd no problem - but then i can't do anything as there is nothing to install the os onto
does anyone have any idea's as to whats going on here or how to get around it?
