Hello,

Purchased the Gamemax Elysium (White) for my new Ryzen 1600 build. For all intents and purposes, it looks like the GM Falcon http://www.gamemax.uk/products_163_106.html with acrylic side window and two x 120mm front fans, 1x120mm rear fan and space for two x120mm on the top through a dust filter.

I added two Alpenfohn Silent Wings 2 fans https://www.overclockers.co.uk/alpenfohn-120mm-wing-boost-2-plus-pwm-fan-green-oem-fg-016-al.html on the top to the one on the rear. So, the three Alpenfohn fans are set to exhaust whilst the two front mounted case fans are set to intake.

The front two and the front top mounted one are using the case fan controller which can select, low, high or off whilst the rear top one and rear exhaust are run through the Asus Strix B350 BIOS on Normal mode.

Here is the rub, when I stress the CPU the temperature goes to X degrees running the fan controller at low. If I push it to high for INCREASED air flow, the temps rise by between 2-3 degrees whether the GPU is running or not.

Why do you imagine this is? It points to disrupted airflow or hot air intake but the temperature isn't the issue, the increase is, so ambient isn't my concern right now.

I have also removed the dust filter to check and the increase always happens (checking with Ryzen Master and HW info).

Any pointers? I also have 3x 120mm Akasa Piranha fans https://www.overclockers.co.uk/akas...mance-pwm-air-ripper-blade-fan-fg-073-ak.html which push more air but are a lot louder. Do you think swopping out the front intakes with these will make a difference? It just seems that the increased air flow is the issue or that the case works better under negative pressure rather than positive.

Thanks
