So I installed 2 c300's (64gb) into my system and installed windows 7 64bit onto one of them. Once installed it seems to think there are two versions of windows 7 installed (there is only one, I formatted the old version and it was on a different hdd).
I went into the BIOS and changed the sequence of the HDD booting, so that the SATA3 c300's were the first things to boot and then changed the boot sequence to only boot from the c300 with windows on.
I then get the old "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device". Made me think I had been stupid and installed windows on the second slot c300, but same result from that. I then change the boot hdd to my velociraptor drive (formatted and empty) and it boots, but once again shows two versions of windows...
My system is as below:
Asus P6X58D-E
Intel i7 930 (oc'd to 4GHZ)
6gb DDR3 (with the annoying 4088mb problem)
Radeon 4870
750w Toughpower
HDDs:
c300 64gb SSD Sata 3
c300 64gb SSD Sata 3
Velociraptor 150gb Sata 2
Samsung 1tb sata 2
Seagate 320gb sata 2
WD 500gb sata 2
Seagate Freeagent 1tb USB 2.0
