Weird digital specs

I recently took some photographs at night with a long exposure of 30 seconds. When getting the photos across to my computer to look at, I thought there seemed to be a lot more stars than I had initially though I would see.

It turns out that if I zoom in, you can see multiple white digital looking specs across not only the sky but the foreground as well. They look about 3 pixels across each and are in the shape of a cross.

They are all the same so have ruled out the possibility of dust or particles on the lens. Does anyone have any idea what it could be. I can provide a picture if needed...

It's not aliens.
I have seen photos of alien specs before, they are much more like analogue specs than digital specs.

Take some dark shots and some pure whites. Check for any artefacts on those.

For night shots it could just be a fluke with photons from those astronomical entities, or some fault in the sensor.

Does your camera have a RAW mode so you can see if it's a processing artefact.

Yes! its them little *** Swearing should be fully starred out or not posted at all. Do not partially star swearing *** Thanks, I will read up but do you recommend anything as I have a large number of them.

Nothing. It's the side affect to long exposure.
