Hi, I'm having a strange issue. Just recieved a motherboard through the MM, an EVGA 650i Ultra, and the board is working perfectly. What's happening though is that whenever a fan is plugged into 3 pin header marked "Chassis fan" on the board (the only one with speed control in the bios), it's emitting a continous beep. I have no idea where the beep is coming from, it's not coming from the case speaker so it must be coming from the motherboard somewhere, but where? Obviously I can just plug the fan into another header, but my PC then sounds like a jet engine.
So, what could be causing this issue? I've been searching and haven't found any sort of reference to this beep, so anyone have any idea what it is and how to fix it?
Edit: Have found out that setting the speed back to 100% in the bios gets rid of the beep, but obviously doesn't get rid of the noise. Maybe something PSU related? Or Motherboard voltage related? I just can't understand the beeping.
