True, but I'm just really interested to see how people hold theirs because its something we are never "told" how to do.
You have to be told???!!!
I was once told how to hold a mouse, by a friend who has done all manner of courses on body alignment, DSE use, sports injuries, RSI and other such junk. He can actually tell what sort of activities you undertake and what bad effects they've had on your musculoskeletal structure just from a quick look at how you stand.... but he was talking absolute ******** when it came to using a mouse!!
His well-meaning idea of aligning the hand around the mouse and forcing me into a palm grip rendered every side button on every mouse I've ever tried utterly useless and would have given me RSI within a week!!
Fair play, do you use a small mouse like in the picture? I feel like fingertip grip would be hard with a large mouse!
I use fingertip grip, where my wrist never leaves its spot on the mat and all movement is from thumb and 3rd finger, plus high DPI.
I favour large mice, like the G700S, Kone and Kova, CM Inferno, G900 and even enjoyed the Steelseries WOW Cataclysm mouse.
