I was just playing around with my comp today, trying to improve the airflow and noticed a weird noise. I had the side of my case off while it was running and noticed when i use the scroll wheel on my mouse (its wireless btw) my comp makes a weird, short hissing noise. I'm pretty sure the noise is coming from either the grapics or sound card (theyre right next to each other) but ive no idea why its making the noise.

Any one noticed this before/ got any idea whats causing the noise and if its bad?

I sometimes get a very annoying noise aswell coming from my haf 932, usually when i bashing something which thn touches the side panel of the computer, i am not sure what it is on mine but i think it is vibrating panels or soemthing like that, make sure al the screws on the case are tight etc. and try and have your pc in a free space/not touching anything

I used to have a slight noise through my headphones whilst scrolling my old intellimouse whilst playing COD:UO. I think this must have been some sort of interference with the on-board sound. Perhaps yours is similar. The gfx card or mobo may have a pc speaker for beep codes that makes your noise.

As far as i'm aware this noise is coming from the coils on the gfx card, especially when the page you are scrolling is mostly white. I get that on my laptop.

Yeah, im pretty it's the mouse creating some sort of interference through its wireless signal, its definitly not something rubbing/ vibrating. Also, it
Doesn't matter what colour my screen is when im scrolling I still get it.

So I take it theres nothing to worry about?

I had this as well with my old wireless Dell mouse. Never had an issue with a wired mouse, so if you have one lying about give it a go and see if it persists.
