Weird Problem *a

Not sure how this has occurred but sometimes when I press the letter a an *asterisk will *appe*ar in front of it. It's getting *annoying *and I re*ally don't know what's caused it? Have I activated a shortcut somewhere or do you reckon its a virus?

Let me know opions please because it's driving me insane!

I have typed this post without deleting any of the asterisks in order to show how random it is!

Seems to like 'A' ....sometimes.

I had a faulty keyboard that did something similar. Try booting in safe mode and type something out.

This to be honest. Sticky fluids [fizzy drinks and err.. other things] can also play havoc, so if you have never so much as turned your keyboard upside down it may be worth dismantling it and running the bit holding all the keys through a dishwasher cycle [or swish it about a bit in the sink if you don't have one]. Make sure it is 100% completely dry before reassembly.

When I clean mine I go the whole shebang and pop every single key out before cleaning.

Before going to all that effort, see if another keyboard does anything weird too.
