Weird problem, please help!

Any help appreciated

System Spec

i7 920 CPU
Gigabyte UD5-X58 Motherboard
Nvidia GTX 275
6GB Patriot Viper Ram
Samsung F1 1TB Hard drive
Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler
Be Quiet 650W Dark Power Pro

Basically when i hit the power switch my CPU fan will spin full belt but nothing will happen. I have to quickly flick to power switch off and back on, then the cpu fan will slow down, graphics card fan will speed up, and only then will my PC start. It works perfectly once i'm into windows, it's just an annoyance to do this everytime i want to go on my PC.

Hi,

Power switch on case or on psu?

Do you switch the pc off at the mains or psu, once shut down or just shut down via Windows, leaving the psu switch on and with a live mains supply?

I have to flick the power switch on the PSU.

I shut down via Windows, and yes i leave the psu switch on with a mains supply.

Can you try another PSU as it does sound like a PSU issue.

I can't get hold of another PSU, but i have read somewhere of a simliar problem and the PSU was the issue so it's probably worth just buying a new one when i have the cash.
