When booting to a windows cd it takes an absolute age to load the windows preinstallation environment

My computer is prime stable for around 8hrs
It also passes intel burn-in test on max settings

Hardware

ABIT IP35 Pro
Q6600 2.4GHZ
4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066mhz PC-8500
500GB SATA HD

If anyone could give me some help i would be most grateful

How long is an absolute age?

It can take a few minutes to load up on mine.

When I upgraded to 4Gb ram and Vista x64 loading the pre installation from the dvd could take upwards of 10 mins. It would show the background screen but the actual installation screens would take an age to load. Pressing Ok to move onto the next step would also result in a 5 min wait.

Never did get to the bottom of it and the PC works flawlessly so never really bothered with it.

I have heard of a problem with vista x64 and more than one stick of RAM causeing it to hang at the pre-installation screen for ages, some ppl said they left it on overnight.
