Hi, I have ZYDAS ZD1211 wireless usb adapter!
using with Vista 32bit!

Connection and speed is good, BUT ... connection lasts 10-20min then disappears.

At the beginning only way back to get connected again was to restart PC,
but I found in DEVICE MANAGER-->NETWORK ADAPTERS--> ZYDAS...then I press on ZYDAS with right button and PROPERTIES-->ADVANCED.There's VALUE: long only and short+long ... if I change between this 2 option I got connection again... but connection losses again each 10-20min, and I have to swap value again and again... to have internet!

Can someone advice me to sort this problem?

Possibly power management killing the USB port? You try disabling the ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ option for the USB Root Hubs in device manager.

Also worth checking the event logs to see if anything is getting reported when the disconnection happens.

I have checked USB ports- power save mode switched OFF, so problem not with this!
any other Ideas?

cheers

Changing that option probably restarts the adapter the same as restarting the PC does. Try another adapter, the one you have is most likely buggered (and/or garbage, being a no-name).

Is it plugged into the USB ports grouped on the motherboard I/O shield plate at the back? Or a USB port on the case that is connected to motherboard by a cable? Worth trying a different USB port I guess if you've not done so already.
