Wondering if someone can help...
For a year now I've been going crazy trying to find out why on occasion my 430w computer would not post. Tried taking it apart testing everything and never found out what it was, I got it working by leaving it running for 5 mins then restarting - usually then it would boot.
This computer is now in my brothers room and has never even had one problem starting... So now I have a totally new PC with a 600w PSU, and it's doing the same thing my last computer used to do, only every start up when left over night! Funny thing is, it will start when I plug it into my brothers socket, - but in mine... No chance. I can't think of anything else other than the power socket itself?
However I've never heard of anything like this... Does anyone know about this problem or how to rectify it? I'm going to try running an extension cable from his room to mine and see how that works. Cheers for any help.
