recently my maximus formula has started playing up. turned it on yesterday to find that the 'overclock failed' so went into the bios and loaded profile 1 again. all booted up fine

turned it on this morning to find 'cmos checksum error' and that the date and time are gone. tried to change the date to the correct one only to find that i couldnt set it to sunday the 11, jumped to monday 13th , there was no 12th. whats going on, rma time? the board is only about 6 months old if that

I have the same problem with my Maximus Formula, I woudln't reccomend this board to others its fussy with 4 sticks of memory and only works with 2 of my four sticks, overclocking usually results in the "overclock Failed" even if there is a power cut or something, at which point bios must be reset, which should be as easy as pressing the reset Cmos button at the back.

I can only overclock with 2 gigs of OCZ memory. I run it all at stock now with 2 gigs and it seems pretty solid.

I tried many BIOS releases with varying stability.

Every other ASUS board I have bought has worked and still works to this day, but I wish I had never bought the Maximus Formula, an expensive piece of fustration in my rig.
