Just wondering - why is this :

Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU priced at £64.61

and this:

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK) is priced at £88.11

From what I can see, they are the same PSUs, just seems weird to me!

But the higher priced one is modular, what does that mean and does that bump up the price? :)

P.S I know jack about components :p

A modular PSU means you can remove the connecting wires that you don't need, instead of tucking them in a corner somewhere and looking messy.

PK!

But £20 more!

Depends on how you look at it I spose, I dont think it would be worth it, mainly because im not bothered, but then again Im not a hardcore pc enthusiast - to some the £20 would be well worth it :)

I found it good. I'm pretty bad at tidy cabling and always found it a nuisance to find somewhere to shove all the wires. I was happy to pay the extra, but its purely down to personal preference.

You might also find that the OEM is different as one reason for the price, I know that the OEM for the HX series is Seasonic, I'm not so sure who does the TX series (CWT do make some of the Corsair PSUs).

The TX series are pretty decent as well.
