Weird PSU problem.

Something seems to be wrong with my hyper PSU after removing all my components out of one case and installing them in another.

The machine will not switch on, even though the mobo has a green power light on it, after the on switch is clicked nothing happens.

Tried another PSU out of a cheap dell machine and it works fine, the machine starts. However i decided to try the hyper in the cheap dell unit to see if it would boot that and it did .

So it works in one machine, but not another, its really odd. Could the mobo be picky about receiving the correct voltage rail or something?

I'd suggest you've hit the nail on the head.Hipers,in my experience,are nothing but trouble.

Sounds like you have overlooked something is the power switch cable in the right way round etc ? and the 12v cable plugged in ? try clearing cmos and trying again also I take it that it powers on the machine without an 8800gtx ? can you try the 8800gtx in the machine that boots ?or take the card from the dell and bung in yours?
