Weird reccurring dream.

Thats called Lucid Dreaming. Theres a few of us on here (me) that have trained ourselfs to do it.

Just because I'm curious how do you train yourself for that type of thing ?

Just to throw my bit in, I can only remember my dreams every so often. But I tend to dream in black and white. The pictures are vivid but never in colour. Its kinda cool I like it :D

You start off with dream diary and reality checks.

If you want to know more, head over to dreamviews.com and have a read :)

Truely amazing when you get the first one. It's like waking up in a world 100% created by your own mind. You will usually wake up seconds after the first one because it will be too exciting.

I got to a stage where i could kick off a lucid dream and stay there for what felt like hours.

Best way to think of it is you are Neo in your own matrix. The world you walk about in feels just as real as waking life. My first LD started in my front garden, i could feel the heat of the sun on my neck, leaves falling slowly from the trees. I knelt down to touch the floor and everything felt totally real. Then you can do whatever you like. The only limitation being your own mind. ;););)

Had a dream the other night that someone was chasing me around the room with a broomhandle - only to wake up and find beloved OH is getting a little frisky in his sleep :D

I've had that dream a couple of times. I'm staring in the mirror brushing my teeth, then I notice that the front teeth are wobbling a bit, so I poke them and they fall out, then the rest of my teeth fall out. :/

Also I frequently dream of WoW. :\

I had a dream last night... was cool. Really cool.

No I just need to find the woman in real life. That would be a good film actually. Guy dreams about woman... then one day he finds the woman is real. They have great kinky sex and everyone is happy.

i had a dream last night i was playing joseph in the joseph and the technicolored dream coat but i faked a sprained ankle because i didnt know the words.

Can't say I ever had. However, about 2 days ago I was trying to convince a giant snail (about the same size as me) to come inside where it was safe - can't remember what from exactly. Dreams are strange. Live with it.

lol that sounds insane !

I've had all 3 of those. I have since learned to control them, it started when I got depressed 7 years ago, I'm not sure if it was antidepressants or my imagination, but my dreams turned into reality, I have no explanation to this other than my dreams where real, my reality was getting mixed up with my dreams. One example is that I met a girl in my dreams and the next day went to meet her, I couldn't tell real life from my dreams. It lasted around 8 months where I lived a double life.

Strange dreams I've had:

My teeth shattering when I feel stress in the dream. It's really weird because you get a distinct sense of being able to crunch the teeth but it doesn't hurt.

Public transport turning into rollercoasters, usually in a very 'transformers' style manner. One was particularly strange as I fell out of it and just stood back up and got back on.

And there's the one where I've wanted to punch somebody but have been overcome with a tremendous sense of weakness and not been able to hit them.

Edit: Also one dream I dreamt of being a lesbian. Being a man that was awesome.

Edit: Actually, by far the strangest dream I ever had was in a 2D perspective. It was all 2D 8-bit style graphics and there was a big eye staring at me. And there was mario on a unicycle. Nothing else really happened.

I have a recurring dream, where I try and punch something/somone very hard, but I can't, I keep trying, yet I am unable to land a decent punch.

I quite often have a similar dream to this. It's not that I cannot physically punch but they just won't land. They're like 'hydraulic' style punches (i.e. they're really, really slow but really, really powerful) and so everything moves by the time my fist would have reached it.

That's an odd one eh :p

I have a dream, it doesn't happen every night though, just once every now and again.

When I wake up at school, I go for my shower. Sometimes when my alarm wakes me, I turn it off with the intention of getting up, then I fall back to sleep.

Here's the dream:

I tell myself to get up, so I get up and go to the shower, but for some reason, it's changed, all of them are dirty and disgusting. And then I seem to wake up a little while later. And I tell myself to get up, I fall asleep and the dream repeats.

It's actually VERY disturbing for me.

That sounds like you wake up, cba getting out of bed so you fall back asleep, I do that many a time and dreams occur :p.
