Weird time 'thing'

Right, for a serious post - I have read up on this quite a bit. I had this thing where somebody told me to look at the clock at 11:11 and it was some spiritual thing which she said kept happening to her.

Naturally I took the piddle out of her day in, day out. Until it started happening to me. Then with other number patterns. 10:10, 12:12, 23:23, 13:11 (1:11)

I then saw the movie "23" and then read up on this phenomenon further. Some say that you are a "Light bringer" if you see this pattern regularly. It is also said that when you look at the clock at this time, it is a giant psychic connection between you and lots of other people tapping into the same thought at the same time.

Strange stuff has happened which I won't deny, despite sounding like a complete lunatic. For instance, waking up in the morning to the clock at 11:11. To nearly having a car accident and looking at my dash to see 11:11.

My thoughts are that when you see it, your life is synchronised and going in the right direction. Not sure how to word it, but I am sure there is some kind of weird memory and body clock sync going on??
 
Isn't it just the fact that you make a mental note of these times because they stand out, and the numerous other times you glance at the clock and see "boring times" just don't get registered?

With regards to the pattern stuff based on being a light bringer :s The time of day is completely arbitrary.. there's nothing special about a given time. If the day was the same length but there were 25 hours in a day... would you keep looking at the clock at the same time?

edit: also there are a lot of these... example: in two minutes it's 12:34. It was 12:12 20 minutes ago, it was 12:21 11 minutes ago. At a rate of about 3 an hour the odds of being on or very close are pretty high. I'm sure a lot of people would see 12:32 and say "oh that's close to 12:34... I'll add that one to the list of strange occurences"
Also I have 6 clocks in front of me that could each be pointing to one in a different timezone :p

edit again: there you go, 13:37 in Paris :D What a coincidence
Also it's not long till 7:57 in New York. The plane that hit the pentagon was a 757 (flight 77)

Not quite time related, but coincidence, when I was 11, one day, I saw a lot of conspicuous occurrences of the number "11". It was on the sides of cardboard boxes, on TV and other places I cant quite recall (was a long time ago). Anyway, later that day, number 11 won the Grand national at 50-1. I wish Id been old enough to place a bet!
