Weird USB Port Issue

Whenever I plug in a Corsair USB flash drive in a particular USB port on the IO panel, I get a message "USB device not recognised...". I've tried three diferent Corsair drives and they all give me this message. These Corsair drives work fine in every other USB port except this particular one. All my other non-Corsair drives work fine in this port. I'm just curious why this would be?

The contacts on that USB port may have some dirt in it causing a bad connection; try cleaning it out with 99% IPA and a cotton bud.

This in the GA-Z270X-Gaming 9 from your sig?

A quick check of the spec of that board suggests the Intel Thunderbolt controller drives just one of the type-A ports. The other back panel type-A ports are directly on the chipset. If it's that port (the red one, apparently), then maybe the Corsair firmware doesn't like that controller for some reason?

Do you have the Intel thunderbolt management software installed?

Yeah it is the red one actually. That probably explains it, thanks.
