Weird volume issue

Hi guys,

Got a very weird one here, if I'm listening to music in spotify or watching a film in MPC-Homecinema, and I start playing some sort of flash video with noise, something, either Windows, Chrome or Flash itself reduces the other audio using item to almost no volume using the windows volume mixer. I have to go back in and turn it up or browse away from the flash content. This "feature" is -really- starting to get on my ****, but I can find no way of turning it off.

Any ideas?
 
Is this Vista or Windows 7?

You could try right-clicking the Sound icon in the notification area then click Sounds. Now look in the Communications tab and set it to Do Nothing.

This should only affect stuff like Skype, but I have heard other stuff can trigger it.
