Hi i have a weird wireless problem with my network, i can sometimes connect to my network, but it will sometimes decide to drop the connection, if i turn the wireless off and on again then it will only display the network as limited or no connectivity.

I have tried powercycling the router with no luck, the only thing i find is when i change the network key then i will work again for a certain amount of time then i will get limited or no connectivity, help please

i have a toshiba a300 1mc laptop with a intel 5100AGN wireless card and a linksys WAG160N router

Have a look on the Linksys official forum - pretty much everyone who has a WAG160N (including me) has an issue with it. Does yours run very hot? Mine would lock up after approx 24 hours and I had to unplug and replug it in to get it working again.

I had it swapped out under warranty, but the replacement did exactly the same.

There have been a couple of firmware updates for it - the latest (.12) has as many issues with it as it tries to solve. My personal opinion is that Linksys rushed this router out to market and its flawed.

My recommendation? Swap it for something else. In the end I got a Draytek 2820 - overkill I know but at least its stable.
