Weird wrong number incident

I just had a weird wrong number incident. Someone called my phone, their number was not in my address book, and I didn't recognise their voice. They said hi, and used my name then when I asked who it was they put the phone down. I texted the number to ask who it was, and they said it was a wrong number and they were looking for someone else with the same name.

Was this just a weird coincidence, e.g that someone called a wrong number and just happened to get through to someone with the same name as the person they were trying to call, or do I have reason to be paranoid?

The best you can hope for now is a quick and painless death... the worst, well I'm sure you'll find out.

that reminds me of an odd answerphone message someone left for 'steve' asking him/me to cook her dinner as she would be back late. SHe sounded hot.

I have always been curious by this... HOW can anyone sound hot? surely it is a visual preference if someone is good looking... also i have done the same :D

I have had this exact call, and so have many people across the UK.

It's a marketing trick / scam - they are simply ringing you to confirm your details.

I haven't got the number that called my phone off hand, but if you google it, all will be revealed.
