Humour is how I prefer to handle it Longbow. It's happened, it's past, the situation I'm in now is what I'm living with. I can either brood about it and throw my toys out of the pram or I can accept it and see the (often macabre) funny side of things and get that enjoyment out of it. In life, the optimist and the pessimist both arrive at the same place, but the optimist has a better journey.
CBS, the most sobering part of this whole thing was looking at the photos of me that were taken shortly after I went in. Looking at them brought home to me, in a way that words can't, exactly how bad a state I was in.
Apparently (I was told, I don't remember) one of the first things I said was "Tell my ex I can't have the kids this weekend". Family counts for a lot with me.
Well, there's a bit of nerve damage in the median nerve in my right arm which affects the sensory nerves in the thumb, index and middle fingers on my right hand (not motor though), so the Andrex can be a bit tricky.
I'm still using puppies.
Ain't life a pain.
