Welcome to the Big Leagues.... Top 100 F@H Cracked!

bsod
the enemy of the folder
my guess is the overclock is unstable speed
perhaps try a lower memory strap and see if its the memory causing the bsods

i have my arsenal up and running at full strength again 24/7

970@4ghz + 480
920@4/2Ghz +470
930@4Ghz +480
980X@4ghz +480sli

all is well

All is most certainly not well for me.

rjk's cheerseasy overclock on "USS: Disaster" is going well

And for USS: Your boy, well lets not even go there shall we.

Don't fear though guys the NC10 was on it last night, woo!

Very nice Rich! Also means I have zero chance of catching you! lol

It also appears for some strange reason the overclock in my main folding system is unstable, even using the old settings. No idea why, maybe the PSU is faulty or something. Going to swap a few systems around today, that way at least the unstable one is easier to toy with.

In better news:

Yeah, I think you are right there.

Just did a internals swap between my main and foldingPC, should hopefully solve the unstable overclock problem or at least make it easier to tweak.

Memory or everything?

My three machines are completely different on how they can fold.

My i7 P6T server can do -smp 8 -bigadv all day on Windows 2008 @ 4.0Ghz
My i7 DFi LP DK x58 main rig can do bigadv no prob but only at BCLK 185 or lower and only with -smp 7
Weebeastie with the i7 P6T7WS @3.9Ghz can't do bigadv at all but gets 17K on -advmethods
None of them like running SMP/bigadv with a GPU at the same time. :(

I swapped the main internals, so the motherboard, CPU, memory and HSF. Direct swap with all the parts still attached, as bar the HSF and the memory the systems are the same.

Strange thing is, they both now appear stable, both have passed OCCT auto 1 hour test twice where as the foldingPC internals which are now in my room would fail. Very strange turn of events really, going to try Linx x20 and then some folding. Could be PSU related I guess, but then I would have thought that the stable system would have failed if that was the case.

Well looks like they are both unstable, one failed Linx quickly, the other on the 19th run of 20. Added some more voltage and they seem stable!

Biffa, what flags are you using on Weebeastie to get it to 17k? Just -advmethods? Anything else like -forceasm to make it more stable?

Depends on the WU as to whether it gets that high :( 6701's get about 13.5K

Arguments: -smp 8 -advmethods -svcstart -d T:\FAH\CPU -verbosity 9 -forceasm
