Can't see this posted here but martinturner has some of his work displayed in the local nails gallery.

I went and had a quick peak today and they look even better in the flesh. :)

You'll have to try and convince them to put some up on the walls for you.

Thanks guys; and especially Paul for the thread :)

Paul; apologies, I missed your comment on my Flickr. I approached them with a portfolio of my work. They asked me to come in for a chat.

I sold two in the first week, so am completely chuffed. They chose 9 shots to 'test the water' based on what they know sells and equally what they represent. They deal with a lot of fine art, so I knew my architectural/macro type shots would not be their thing. What was interesting was how my perception of what sold differed to theirs. The more I think about it, it does make sense. I have several shots which I thought were really good, but actually, in a frame, on a wall, perhaps not. Not saying the shots are not good, just not what they are looking for. There are so many galleries and the like; the key from my small amount of time invested is working out what they want. Its a bit like adapting your cv dependent on the employer.

Cool, those are great shots and which 2 sold?
What are the charges like for having your work displayed in their gallery, commissions e.t.c.?

Very well deserved, some excellent pictures.

I live around 150miles from Bristol but if I have any spare time in the oncoming weeks I will go and see them :)

when you told the gallery you had some original turner landscapes to sell, did they think you meant paintings? :p

Excellent work there Martin.
