Well I fell down the custom keyboard world.

GB for the Zoom TKL starting 15th November - 29th November @ $179

I am contemplating it as they are lovely looking units, the only issue I saw was the RGB bleed from the left side top, but not sure how visible that would be from a normal seated position (I watched the Alexotos stream) - I may have to wait for extras as I know I am probably going to have import duties to pay on at least one board between now and the end of the year. So may pick one up as an extra.

If it comes with ISO support as standard then it may sway me a bit more.

I might be reading this wrong but I think ISO is a standard option.

However, i've not done a GB before now so i'm unsure. Am i correct in thinking that this isn't a limited sale, just timed and i can order at any point in the 2 week window without worry of missing out?

Oh they may have updated the units as originally ISO was only going to be supported via an additional PCB that could be purchased as an extra item. (I haven't checked in on the Meletrix discord recently)

Yes you can order at any point during the two week window and be sure to secure your purchase.

I think like the Zoom65 this will be a rolling GB/In Stock sale. Also if you don't get it in the GB the vendor will usually have some extras to purchase afterwards (usually priced around 10 - 20% more than the original GB price)

Ah, you may still be correct looking at the Reddit list. ISO is listed under 'extra pcb specifications'. Which presumably means you'd also need an ISO plate purchased separately as well?

As cheap and cheerful as the Zoom TKL is, it really doesn't appeal much tbh. If i was in the market for one now i may have gone for it but design wise it's nothing special imo.

My Space65 R3 arrived today, now to decide on switches. I was a bit cliche in my choice and got the Mecha01 version, as i like the GMK Mecha set. I do have some EV-01 switches on my Frog which I could use.

I envy you! Been looking at getting a Space65 on the used market but no luck. Same as you gone for GMK Mecha-01 which i already own but want the novelties as well to match.

What colour is your board?

And so it begins!

Had to make up some keys for bottom right part of board for now :)

Congrats, its a lovely board.

All fully built last night, i ended up not using the Shogoki switches as they felt terrible compared to every other tactile i had. Maybe cos it's already quite a muted board so adding silent tactiles to it just made it feel dead and the switches themselves were quite scratchy. Switched them out for some TTC Pandas and wow! I built it with TX stabs, all foams and a POM plate. Gonna rebuild again and using minimal foam i think to see if i can bring out more sound from the switches. Maybe get rid of the PE sheet and case foam. The PCB on this board is absolutely gorgeous!

Thats a lovely looking build and its true white does give more options for keycaps. I like the look of the switches, where did you order them from?

I got them from Thicthock - Shogoki Tactile switches which are out of stock now. Unfortunately they're not for me, as i prefer a louder and much more pronounced tactile feel. Will be throwing these up for sale on MM soon. These feel abit more like Cotton candies but a little more on the rough side.
