Pick the new beast up next weekend!

Cleared out the garage ready for when she arrives, got a mate to come and pick up loads of rubbish to burn and finally managed to get my brother's car out of the garage and photographed to go on an auction site for sale!

Pics when she arrives, this time there will be before pictures aswell :)

So... do i put the 17s and "stupid" exhaust on the new car or not?

Not unless you particularly want a daft looking car that handles like soap and has an appalling ride quality ;)

Speedline Alessio 2's - YES
Stupid 5" exhaust - No

Its not the type of exhaust you would imagine, i had the same back box on my Corsa, looked very nice indeed :)

Still can't believe you sold the Corsa (or even the R5) in the first place.

I would have kept that rather than have a riced up Saxo VTR and then an old Astra.

Looking forward to the pics though :)

I got a new job which involved 40+ miles a day, and the Corsa was on 96k and i wanted to sell it before it died through the mileage, the new owner has it on 112k now and still going strong, however he had to have the top end rebuilt after it went pop at 98k!

The R5 was simple, i had the bodywork done and things began to go wrong, rust started appearing and the clocks were going funny!

Saxo wasn't riced up until i got my hands on it, however i still hold myself to the fact it was a nice rice car ;)

Well I liked it :)

And sorry to hear the Corsa had some problems... but I guess you got out easy eh? :D What happened? Did the cambelt go?

He thought it was running on 3 (which it was) so replaced everything and something to do with one of the pistons, i think it went pop, cambelt slipped i think!

He had it ported and polished and it pulls well up to 80-90ish now, but after about 110 it runs out of steam :(

Had the windscreen quoted for replacement (as im only TPFT) and its a tad over £100 which i think is a good price :)

HG i have been told if it is porous will more than likely be at the top of the head and can be skimmed down to the area thats affected, if not have seen a recon head quite cheap :)

After that its just cosmetic bits :)

what are the specs for it?, and dont for the love of god put a loud exhaust on it, people will look round at the awesome noise and when they dont see a supercar will instantly think chav. not sure whether I love or hate those alloys though.

If i get alloys, Speedline Alessio 2's will probably be the only ones i get :)

You like them then ? :p

Wheels are cool, but not in white on a standardish looking metallic purple astra. Stick with silver.
